About Jamison
Jamison M. Mark is an expert New Jersey employment lawyer who has represented employees throughout New Jersey since 2000. As the founder of Mark & Lavigne, LLC, he has dedicated his career to protecting workers in cases involving wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, whistleblower claims, wage and hour violations, disability accommodations, severance agreements, and executive employment contracts.
Jamison is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction earned by fewer than 2% of New Jersey attorneys and a testament to his extensive courtroom experience and proven litigation skills. He has also been recognized as a New Jersey Super Lawyer every year from 2013 through 2025.
Jamison successfully argued the landmark New Jersey Supreme Court case Wild v. Carriage House Funeral Holdings, Inc., a precedent-setting decision that strengthened disability rights for New Jersey employees under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD).
An active leader in the plaintiff employment law community, Jamison is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association of New Jersey (NELA-NJ) and serves on the organization's Forced Non-Compete Task Force (2026) and Case Evaluation Program (2026), helping shape the future of employment law in New Jersey.
Before founding the firm, Jamison served as an Assistant Deputy Attorney General with the Delaware Department of Justice and earned his law degree from Widener University School of Law. He believes every client deserves an honest assessment, practical advice, and aggressive representation when their workplace rights have been violated.
